H.B. Products Inc. was formed in 1978 by two brothers, Jim and George Hamann. The company started as a business that specialized in tool and diemaking and special machinery building. The goal of the company was, is, and always will be, to provide the highest quality tools available at a reasonable price.
Over the years, they have come up with some very innovative ideas. In 1984, H.B. started developing and producing wheel lock removal kits. Since then, H.B. Products has been involved in the design, development, and production of many different automotive specialty tools.
The Turbosocket concept came in late 1995. During 1996, designs and prototypes were created to make this unique tool. The first production run of Turbosockets started in early 1997. As sales grew steadily, product development continued. The Turbosocket line increased to include: a 3/8 drive set, a 1/2 drive set, a wheel removal kit, and deep versions of the standard length sets.
In late 2002, 1/4 drive sets were being developed. In January of 2003 the first 1/4 drive set was made. The first available was a 9 piece set ranging in size from 6mm to 10mm. The most recent addition to the 1/4 drive Turbosocket line is a 22 piece set ranging in size from 4.5mm to 10mm. Currently, over 1 million sockets have been sold.
H.B. Products will continue come up with innovative solutions and products to meet mechanics' needs.
More unique tools are in development, and are sure to make jobs easier and faster.
